Call for Abstracts and Case Studies
Southern Pain Society Annual Meeting
January 30 – February 1, 2026
- We will welcome abstracts on patient evaluation, risk stratification, outcomes of interventional treatments, psychosocial factors in pain, pain education, research, case studies, etc.
- Abstracts will be accepted from professionals including learners.
- Abstracts will also be accepted from industry, but the primary author must be a non-industry clinician.
- The abstract text must be limited to 350 words.
- The abstract must contain the following headers: Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Key Words (limit 5) and Summary.
- Case Studies should have the following headers: Abstract, Introduction, Case Report, Discussion and Conclusion.
- The author(s) must have, and state, a working hypothesis to be tested, provide information to advance the science/practice with data obtained, with rare exceptions, from more than an ‘n’ of 1, provide an interpretation of results that support or refute the working hypothesis and/or existing knowledge and 2-3 key references on the topic addressed.
- The full name, address and institution of the primary author must be included. If you are a learner, please indicate your status (i.e. undergrad, graduate student, resident, etc.).
- No figures or tables should be included in the abstract.
- The abstract must be original work not previously published.
- The abstract deadline is December 19, 2025
- All submitters will be notified by January 9, 2026
- Approval of an abstract constitutes the commitment to prepare a poster, and at least one author to be present.
- There is no cost for presenting a poster but the presenter must register, and pay the appropriate registration fee. The poster session is scheduled on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 5pm
- The approved abstracts will be printed in the syllabus.
- Awards may be offered to non – industry poster presenters.
